    This full class is oriented toward applying the skill development model and the mastery practices in focused on developing an application skill of your choice.

    Throughout the program, individual skill builders have been applying what they know. Theory has ben sanity checked to know that it works, skillful practice has been applied to make sure that one understands the this one needs to employ to get better and better. There will be both the joy of victory and the agony of defeat. Quite satisfaction at making something happen and bone-grinding frustration when it didn’t. Mastery practices have to be mastered and processes have to be perfected.

    In this case, one will take an application skills and really work hard at putting what you know to the test of the real world. Choice of an application skill is up to you. For example, you could choose one of the 12 verbal communication skills that underlie great leadership. Communication is a fertile ground to plants seeds of perfection since these skill-sets are so important and they tend to be neglected.

    Key Steps in the Process

    1. Define the Theory Set. Choice of good theory is a really important step. Bad theory results in skills not learned.
    2. Come Up With a Practice Plan. A skill must be perfected in a particular context.
    3. Practice, Practice, Practice, Practice Skilled Practice. This is really a cycle. One A cycle that one needs to keep improving.
    4. Lessons Learned. At the end of practice, one needs to step back and take an entire look at the what occurred. What went well and what can be improved.
    5. Next Project. Personal improvement never stops. Should never stop. It needs to be a habit.

      Role of the Instructor

      The instructor will mostly function as a coach rather than as someone who shovels more information at you.

      Many managers and executives depend too much on their authority -- a limited source of power that doesn’t work well on peers and the boss. Consequently, they fail to get the results they want.

      Additionally, many individuals rely too much on positional influence, rather than developing personal influence. Positional influence is typically limited and constrained, but personal influence is something that can be grown and expanded. Another fact limiting influence, is that many tend to act selfishly like dragons hoarding their gold; rather than socially, like philanthropists who spread the wealth of their influence to benefit others.

      This class expands your knowledge by providing practical influence techniques.  You learn about:

      Ways one can use developmental COACHING.

       The Nature of building CHARISMA.

       Using VISION—The Power of Setting Expectations.

    Our Four Phase Delivery Process

    The Needs Analysis


    a. Choose a role or map your skills on the stage of business (Optional but highly recommended)

    b. For Expertise, choose your ConcentrationFull Class, or self-paced module.

    c. For Skills, decide on either Dual Track Coachingor Impact Coaching. Contact us to coordinate on module(s).


    This part of the process is easy. It's like buying any product by credit card for the first time. 


    1. Choose a public program on this site OR contact us for customized training. 

    2. Register and pay for the course of learning.

    3. Fill Out Your Profile.

    4. Stay on top of the orientation emails you will receive. 


    Taking on orientation program is optional, but highly recommended. We run three orientations:

    1. Orient Yourself to Moodle. Never taken on online class? We got you covered.

    2. Enhance Expertise. For the full classes, we focus on improving reading comprehension, focusing attention, and how to reduce the forgetting curve.

    3. Upgrade Skills. Few know how to practice. Fewer still know the mental practices that accelerate skill development.


    Engage in one or more of our four, six, twelve or sixteen- week courses. 

    Proof of learning does not involve grades (unless needed for employer reimbursement). As evidence of successful completion you receive a certificate (for expertise) and badges (for coaching). 

    Develop artifacts elated to the work you do in a course. This can be shared on sites like Linkedin as part of your profile.  

    Finally, reflect on experience to develop lessons learned.

    About The Program Designer

    Murray Johannsen is founder and President of Legacee and The Legacee Academy where he heads-up the focus on high demand skill-sets not taught well (or at all) by most b-schools. These include the major competencies of: the skill of building skills, digital marketing, and transformational leadership. Murray also keeps one foot in the academia by serving as an adjunct professor at UCLA and other universities. Finally, he continues to research and publish on major developments in the future of work and 21st Century skills. He has a MBA from the University of Iowa and a M.A. in Psychology from Harvard University.
